When I was in high school, once, there is this one guy from the province government who’s coming to our small town. A big shot guy. I can’t remember precisely who is he. But the bottom line is, his position is kinda important. Well, at least important for himself :p.

I joined a meal with him and others in one fancy restaurant. We sit together, maybe about 6 persons, at this same table.

The conversations was smooth. And mostly, because he’s the one who speaks most of the time. Smooth for him. And surely for the rest, because their main intention is to make mister big shot happy.

But from those long conversation, untill know, all I remembered was this words. When he said his ideas about idealism.
He:
“There’s another student’s demonstration yesterday. Demmand this and that. Huh, they’re full of idealism. Demmand to eliminate corruption. It’s nonsense. Student, what do they know about the real world. Now they do this. But when the time came for them to enter a real world, they’ll became the same. Just wait & see. There’s so many needs to think off. Those thoughts is only idealism of a student.”
And then he looked at me, smiled and said,
“Well, in the future, don’t be one of those student, ok”
The others laughed at his joke.
Me, I just smile too, being confused what should I recon.

Now, If I have a chance I think I’ll say,
Excuse sir, maybe you should turn around your brain so you could think right. The student idealism should not be vanish. In fact, we all should keep it with us every time, for the rest of our life. So, if everyone in the REAL world you mention have even only a tiny piece of those idealism, this country, maybe, will be much better. Those student idealism will influence people to think clear, to do the right think, not thinking the right digit (he should corrupt).
Well sir, I obviously can’t say what will I be in the future. But if I can choose, I’m sure I’ll prefer to be one of those student instead of you, mister big shot. But hey, what do I know, I’m just a student anyway :p
